The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso East constituency, Nasser Toure Mahama, will Friday, August 27, go against the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mireku, in the 3FM constituency debate.
The initiative gives parliamentary candidates in selected constituencies the opportunity to engage physically with constituents to seek their votes by telling them what their plans are for the constituency.
The platforms also seek to promote healthy debates between and among political parties and their supporters, as was demonstrated in the Okaikwei North constituency in the maiden edition.
The Ayawaso East debated is scheduled to take place from 6:00am – 10:00am at the Nima Lorry Station, where the 3FM morning show, Sunrise will be broadcasting from.
The incumbent MP will be seeking the mandate of the people to represent them in parliament for the third consecutive time, while his contender, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Gaming Commission of Ghana will be seeking to unseat him.
