The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has arrested Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counsellor Lutterodt, for allegedly making inciteful comments in a viral video.
The comments are said to have urged Ga youth to storm the residence of the late highlife musician, Daddy Lumba.
Investigations by the police reveal that Counsellor Lutterodt’s remarks, related to issues surrounding the late musician, are deemed offensive and capable of causing a breach of the peace.
He has since been granted bail but will be arraigned in court on Wednesday, March 11.
According to a press release dated Tuesday, March 10, Counsellor Lutterodt will face charges of offensive conduct conducive to breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), and inciting violence under the Criminal Offences Act and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
