
The final funeral rites for the late chief of Nanton, Naa Alhassan Abu is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 15.
That day will see the shaving of the sons and daughters of the late chief, popularly called Nyabto.
The late chief died last year.
He was born E A Alhassan in 1966.
He attended the Sandu Primary School in Nanton in the Northern Region and continued at the Savelugu Middle School.
He worked for the Ghana Water Company and in 1999, became the Assembly member for Gumani/Nyashegu electoral area. He subsequently served for three terms.
He was also the Secretary for National Sheanut Association of Ghana till his untimely demise.
He was part of the committee that met Parliament for separation of the sheabutter board from the cocoa board.
The climax of the funeral will be on Thursday, February 21, when the YILI GILIBU will be held, at Saandu.
