Former president John Dramani Mahama has on the occasion of Ghana’s 62nd independence day, taken to social media to eulogise his wife, Lordina Mahama, who turned 56 years today.
Mrs Mahama was born on March 6, 1963, almost three years after Ghana gained a republic status.
Mahama who met Lordina during their secondary school days in Tamale, indicated she has through thick and thin, stood by him faithfully in their 27 years of marriage.
For this reason, the former president who is seeking to win back power has called for God’s blessings upon her life.
“Happy birthday to a great woman. You have stood faithfully by my side in the best of times and in worst of times. May God on this day shower his bountiful blessings on you!,” he posted Facebook Wednesday.
The two in July 2017 celebrated 25 years of marriage at a private event that attracted family members, friends and politicians within the National Democratic Congress and well-wishers.
Last year, Mahama took to social media to wish Lordina 55th birthday.
He posted: “Happy birthday to a wife and a mother. May God return to you, multiple-fold, the blessings you continue to give us”.
