The Speaker of Parliament has summoned all 276 members (MPs) for sitting on Tuesday, September 29.
This is in pursuant of Article 112(3) of the 1992 Constitution and Order 53 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
Members are expected to sit at 12:00pm on the set date.
It is unclear what has triggered this decision by the Speaker.
On Tuesday, September 22, the Minority Caucus called for the setting up of a bipartisan committee to look into the recent drug bust ta Ghana’s ports.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) also threw its support behind its MPs for the call.
