The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his wife, Rebecca, seized a moment at the 2019 State of the Nation Address (SONA) Thursday to do what millennials referred to as PDA, Public Display of Affection, on the floor of Parliament.
After exchanging pleasantries with other dignitaries by shaking their hands, he got to his wife and hesitated.
Was his wife going to give him just a handshake like everyone else or do something special?
As he got closer, the First Lady leaned forward, grabbed the President in her arms and gave him a quick kiss on his lips.
As if that was not enough, the First Lady gave him a pat on the shoulder as he walked past, as if to say, “That’s my boy, you’ve made me proud”.
