It is that time of the year again when the search for a queen to represent and project Ghana officially begins.

The theme for the 2019 edition of TV3‘s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant has been officially unveiled with auditions set to take off from Friday, June 21.

Arguably the nation’s best reality pageant, GMB has churned out young ladies who have grown to influence society positively through their personal social responsibility projects amongst other initiatives.

This year’s competition, unveiled at a ceremony at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel on Friday, June 14, is dubbed ‘Black N Proud’.

This year’s theme seeks to propagate a message of valuing the uniqueness that comes with being Ghanaian and, by extension, African.

As a culture-centered pageant, GMB has, over the years, provided a platform through which different Ghanaian cultures and traditions are projected while appreciating the rich Ghanaian identity.

Speaking at the unveiling of the theme for 2019, Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General, Beatrice Agyemang Abbey reiterated the media firm’s commitment towards providing entertaining content to its viewers, readers and listeners, while projecting Ghana and Africa.

She said this year’s competition comes with a better package as well as a lot more entertainment and creative content for viewers of TV3.

“This year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful would be classic and phenomenal,” she promised.

The unveiling of GMB 2019 was attended by several past queens and contestants.

Auditions for this year’s competition begins in Accra on Friday, June 21. It ends on Saturday, June 22 at TV3’s Executive Theatre at Kanda.

The Accra auditions will be followed by that of Tamale on Friday, June 28, Kumasi on July 5, and finally in Takoradi on July 12.

Interested young ladies are encouraged to take part in this year’s competition by visiting www.3news.com to fill application forms, or pick up one at the premises of TV3 in Kanda.
