The 2020 Africa Women’s Sports Summit will be held virtually in the evening of Wednesday, September 2 under the theme: ‘Shifting Mindsets’.
The mentorship event, which had its maiden edition last year, champions the cause for African sports women to be included in the Africa sports ecosystem.
This year, four speakers and two panel members will take part in keynote sessions and interviews via a live webinar.
FIFA’s General Secretary, Fatma Samoura, is the Guest Speaker for this year’s edition.
Other speakers include GFA President Kurt Okraku, President of the Sierra Leone FA and CAF Executive Committee member Isha Johansen and President of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, Aisha Falode.
The two panel members are Founder of Mission 89, Lerina Bright, and CEO of Liberty Professional FC Linda Ansong.
The speakers and panel members are expected to share the rich experience they have gathered over the years with the participants.
Founder of the Africa Women’s Sports Summit Juliet Bawuah believes participants will learn a lot from the speakers.
“Effective and efficient leadership plays a critical role in the corporate sports governance,” she said.
“The call for resolute systems has become even more important in the face of existing global trends. We are confident that our line-up of speakers will offer some useful experiences and practical guidance.”
