Academic activities came to a halt after fire destroyed the JHS block of Ampayoo-Krofrom D/A School in the Ashanti region.
The fire is reported to have gutted the structure around 2am Thursday.
The fire ravaged three classrooms, a storeroom, and the headmistress office.
Several items including a laptop computer, printer, textbooks and other valuable materials were completely destroyed.
The over 150 pupils displaced looked stranded at the time the news team visited the school.
The Atwima Kwanwoma District Director of Education, Victor de-Graft Etsison, visited the school to ascertain the extent of damage.
He told 3news.com that arrangement is being made to move the Form 1 and 2 pupils to a near-by school to continue with the academic work whilst one of the not-too-much affected classrooms is reorganised to accommodate those in Form 3.
District Chief Executive for the area, Nana Okyere-Tawiah Antwi assured that the affected block will be renovated by the end of June this year.
Investigation has commenced to establish the cause of the fire.
