A street vendor believed to be in her thirties died Tuesday after a commercial vehicle with failed brakes struck her at the Appollo Traffic Light in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality, authorities said.
The deceased, identified as Naomi Dadzie, sustained severe injuries, with eyewitnesses reporting that the impact left her intestines exposed.

She was rushed to the Kwesimintsim Government Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
Several passengers injured in the crash are receiving treatment at the same facility.
The incident has renewed concerns about the safety of street vendors, who remain vulnerable as some drivers continue to speed and disregard road safety regulations.
