The Ghana Tourism Authority has announced a new transportation partnership with the Intercity STC Coaches Limited aimed at easing the heavy movement expected during this year’s December in GH festivities.
In a statement Tuesday, GTA CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto said the authority has secured five dedicated STC shuttle buses to support event attendees and visiting tourists navigating Accra’s busiest corridors. Officials say the move is part of a broader effort to improve safety, reduce traffic bottlenecks and enhance visitor experience throughout the festive season.
The special buses will run daily on five major routes:
SHUTTLE ROUTES:
Route 1: Prampram → Dawhenya → Tema Roundabout → 37
Route 2: Oyarifa → Adenta Barrier → Madina → 37
Route 3: Pokuase → Ofankor Barrier → Achimota → Circle
Route 4: Kasoa → Circle
Route 5: Accra Mall → Black Star Square

The GTA says the initiative reflects a growing focus on reliable mobility as Accra prepares for peak holiday arrivals and a packed entertainment calendar.
