Renowned Ghanaian-born music educator and cultural ambassador Prof. Paschal Yao Younge has formally invited the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, to the Global Arts Fest 2026 in the United States.
Prof. Younge paid a courtesy call on the minister to extend the invitation to the festival, scheduled for March 19, 2026, in Athens, Ohio. Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening Ghana’s cultural representation and leadership at the international event, which celebrates world music and dance while promoting intercultural exchange.
As part of the engagement, Prof. Younge presented the minister with a copy of his acclaimed book, Music and Dance Traditions of Ghana, which documents the country’s rich and diverse performing arts heritage.

Ms. Gomashie has been confirmed as Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker for the festival’s public lecture. She is expected to share insights on cultural diplomacy, heritage preservation and the role of creative education in national development and global engagement.

Both parties underscored the importance of sustained global artistic collaboration and cultural exchange as tools for mutual understanding and creative growth. They expressed optimism that Ghana’s participation in the Global Arts Fest 2026 would create new opportunities for Ghanaian artists and cultural practitioners to showcase their work on the international stage.
The Global Arts Fest brings together artists, educators and cultural leaders from around the world to celebrate diversity through music, dance and dialogue.
