The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts on Tuesday honoured Ghanaian model and entrepreneur Hamamat Montia as Shea Butter Ambassador for her role in promoting the product as a symbol of Ghana’s cultural pride and creative economy.

The recognition was presented by Honourable Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, at a ceremony attended by officials and stakeholders in the cultural sector. Among the attendees was Hon. Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.

Minister Gomashie commended Montia for transforming traditional shea butter into a globally admired made-in-Ghana brand that celebrates African heritage and female entrepreneurship.
The event underscored a shared national commitment to strengthening cultural identity, supporting creative enterprises and positioning Ghana as a top destination for heritage, culture and sustainable business innovation.
