Ghana’s Covid-19 death toll has risen from 70 to 85, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
In its latest release on Saturday, June 20, the Service has also confirmed that 5,526 patients have recovered from the virus.
This has seen a significant reduction in Ghana’s active cases under management. The active cases are now 3,558.
The latest update gives figures of Ghana’s case count up till Thursday, June 18.
The total case count is 13,717 after a total of 267,286 tests conducted across the country.
This puts the country’s positivity rate at 5.13 per cent.
Regional case count
The Greater Accra Region continues to lead the regional breakdown with its total tally of 7,860 more than all of Ghana’s neighbouring countries – La Cote d’Ivoire (6,874), Burkina Faso (901) and Togo (555).
The Ashanti Region follows with 2,637 cases.
