Asante Kotoko SC have issued a formal apology to their supporters over the club’s recent disappointing performances, while assuring fans that decisive steps are being taken to turn things around.
In a statement signed by Communications Director Sarfo Duku ESQ, the board and management of the Porcupine Warriors acknowledged the concerns raised by supporters regarding both the team’s poor run of results and the continued absence of a substantive head coach.
“We continue to sincerely apologise for the disappointing performances in recent matches,” the statement read in part, adding that the club fully understands the weight of expectations that come with representing one of Ghana’s most storied football clubs.
The Kumasi-based side confirmed that the board is actively working to appoint a competent substantive head coach whose philosophy aligns with the club’s long-term ambitions, urging supporters to exercise patience as the process unfolds.
“We want to assure our cherished supporters that decisive steps are being taken to restore the club to its rightful standards,” the statement added, stressing that the future of the club remains the board’s top priority.
Kotoko also called on their loyal fanbase to continue rallying behind the team for the remaining matches of the season as the club works to steady the ship.
The club currently lies 6th on the log with 43 points.
