The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has declared a 10-day fasting and prayer service for the student body.
In a notice dated Thursday, April 16, 2026, the SRC President, Kwame Ntiamoah Ntim, indicated that the fasting will begin from Monday, April 20 and end on Wednesday, April 29.
“There will be a 30-minute prayer session held on Google Meet each day from 7:30pm to 8:00pm,” the notice announced, adding that the last day will be marked with a Prayer Walk on campus.
It is unclear what has triggered this spiritual exercise by the SRC.
But it is said to have the backing of the entire Executive Board of the Council.
