The Court of Amsterdam has approved the extradition of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akim North Constituency, Kwame Ohene Frimpong, to the United States to face charges.
The independent lawmaker was detained at the Schipol Airport for alleged crimes relate to fraud, money laundering, and romance scams.
Parliament announced this on Tuesday, May 12, promising details later.
But the Ghanaian MP was sent to court in the Dutch capital over complaints lodged by US authorities.
The verdict on Friday will see the Parliamentarian being sent to the US to face trial.
