For the first time in a while, Ghana has recorded a reduction in the new number of cases of Covid-19.
The latest update by the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) released on Thursday, July 16 sees the country report 178 new cases.
It comes after new cases recently recorded have not been less than 200.
The Director Genera of GHS, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, had observed that the average daily infections have been 400.
With the addition of the latest infections, the country’s total cumulative case count currently stands at 25,430.
The recoveries-cum-discharges are now 21,511 with the number of deaths still at 139.
This leaves the active cases under care and management at 3,780.
