The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has revealed that Ghana is strenuously aiming at introducing green activities in the mining industry with the best of technology to reduce fossil fuel emissions and improve efficiency in environmental management.
He disclosed this during a working visit to Jinzin Longking Company.
The company, located in the heart of Longyan city in the Fujian Province of China, is a subsidiary of Jinzin Mining Group.
Jinzin Mining Group is a company globally acclaimed as a green focused technology driven firm with operations in 17 countries around the world.
Commenting on his experience after touring facilities to inspect electric trucks, environmental protection installations among others, the Lands Minister lauded the advancement of technology in China.
He invited Longking to establish its presence in Ghana to lead in the supply of green technology in the mining sector.
With a history of 55 years in environmental management and its technical advancement, Longking has advanced in environmental solution for power industry, environmental solutions for iron and steel industry, environmental solutions for cement industry, environmental solution for other industries.
President of Longking company Huang Wei, who led the Minister throughout the inspection of these facilities, said the company started manufacturing of its electric cars in 2025.
He said the company is growing steadily to become leader in environment, new energy transportation, power generation, and new energy mining equipments.
He assured the Minister that they would consider making their way to the Ghanaian market following adequate assessment of the potential.
