The organisers of the popular Science and Maths quiz for senior high schools (SHSs) in Ghana, NSMQ, had to postpone indefinitely the third quarter-final contest on Thursday, October 30. The contest involving three former champions Mfantsipim School, Prempeh College and Adisadel College was scheduled for the SGS Auditorium at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) on Thursday. The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, has launched a scathing attack on the deal between Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) Ghana and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). He said the payments made to SML Ghana were not valid as there was no proper contract signed between the two parties. A security guard who was the last person being treated for injuries caused in the Manchester synagogue attack has been discharged from hospital. Bernard Agyemang was working when a car was driven into him by Jihad Al-Shamie on 2 October in the attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall.
