According to the group, the implementation of key policies such as the Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, One-District One-Factory, Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) and a host of others confirms the government’s positive performance so far. “Under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo, we the youth of the country are enjoying free SHS,” the group said in a release on Monday. “Our parents who were not able to buy fertilizers and other farm inputs are now also…
“Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your NEIGHBOURS – empty vessels; do not gather just a few.” ― 2 Kings 4:3 [NKJV] One topic I always loved to teach in my days as a Biology tutor was symbiosis. It was about relationships; relationships between animals or plants and their environment. From those lessons, it was obvious no organism could survive alone. They had to depend on others or others had to depend on them. Like these plants and animals, no one can ever survive alone! Have you ever imagined a life on earth all alone? Even…
A 47th minute penalty converted by striker Jordan Ayew against Sao Tome and Principe sent Ghana top of Group C in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. China-based Emmanuel Boateng was brought down in the penalty area a few minutes into the second half and Ayew converted the resultant spot-kick to give Ghana the maximum points. It was the Black Stars’ second game in the qualifiers, having beaten South Africa’s Bafana Bafana 2-0 in their first qualifier. There was little excitement in the match on Monday as the Stars failed to convert the few opportunities that came their way…

Last week, the Minister of Health assured that government is awaiting more of the ambulances before distribution. Gov’t awaits more ambulances before distribution Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, nonetheless, stated that the ambulances would be put into use in cases of emergency. But later the Minister of Special Development Initiatives clarified that trackers are being fixed on the ambulances…
Parliament has begun debating the 2020 budget statement and financial policy of government presented to the House last Wednesday by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta. The presentation was a requirement of Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21(3) of the Public Financial Management Act, Act 921. After the delivery on Wednesday, the Majority Leader moved that the House began discussions on Monday, November 18. Osei-Kyei Mensa-Bonsu told members, particularly those of the Minority Caucus, to be guided by “pragmatism” and not “propaganda” during debate. Seconding him, Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu hinted that the policy statement will be the…

The first Rugby Africa Cup (RAC) 2020 encounter kicks off on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 GMT at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina, Ghana. This RAC 2020 kick-off is remarkable in two ways. It is the official start of a new competition format on the continent and Ghana is not historically a rugby nation. Yet, Ghana’s Rugby is developing strong. After having hosted the Bronze Cup and winning it last year, Ghana has hosted the Tri-nations Cup this year, and now sets the stage for the inaugural RAC 2020. President of Ghana Rugby Herbert Mensah is thrilled about the…
