A Deputy Chair of the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC), Dr Bossman Eric Asare, has assured that the election-management body is ready to conduct the December 17 referendum. Police are surrounding a Hong Kong university campus after a fiery overnight stand-off with hundreds of protesters inside. Dozens of protesters tried to leave after sunrise but turned back as police fired tear gas and rubber bullets. Ken Ofori-Atta says already feasibility study for the establishment of the bank, specifying its rationale, mandate, business model, legal and regulatory framework, ownership, governance and sustainability has been been completed.
