The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) says it will from Friday, October 25 receive applications for transfer of votes as well as special and proxy voting at its district offices throughout the country. The applications will be received till Monday, November 4. “Applicants for transfer of votes must present themselves, their voter ID cards and proof of residence at their new locality,” a statement on Thursday, October 24 said. The Ministry of Health has announced fresh recruitment of medical officers who completed their housemanship and are registered with the Medical and Dental Council. Allied health professionals on the 2016/2017 supplementary list will also be part of the latest recruitment effort. Enrolled nurses of the May/June 2016 referrals will also be recruited. Police are continuing to question a lorry driver over 39 people found dead in a refrigerated trailer in Essex. Mo Robinson, 25, from Portadown, County Armagh, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday by Essex Police. Officers in Northern Ireland have raided two houses and the National Crime Agency said it was working to identify “organised crime groups who may have played a part”. The schools were the quarter-finalists in the 2019 edition, which saw St Augustine’s College beat PRESEC-Legon and St Peter’s SHS to the title.
