Parliament’s Privileges Committee has suspended hearing on the alleged contempt case brought before it by Member for Asawase Constituency Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed against the Member for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. The Committee had sat on Wednesday to hear from Alhaji Muntaka, the complainant, but was served with a notice of motion by lawyers for the defendant. A body has been recovered from the wreckage of the plane which crashed with Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on board. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch said specialist contractors joined the operation in “challenging conditions”. It was carried out in “as dignified a way as possible” and the men’s families were kept updated throughout, it said. The wreckage of the plane, which vanished two weeks ago over the English Channel, had been found off Guernsey. Jay-Z says the arrest of rapper 21 Savage is “an absolute travesty” and has hired a lawyer to help his fight against deportation. Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage, a British citizen, is being held by US officials due to an expired visa. His real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph and he moved to America as a child. The prime suspect in the murder of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency, Daniel Asiedu, has for the second time accused some elements within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of contracting him to kill JB Danquah Adu.
