Wendy Shay seems to be having none of the recent happenings involving her and manager, Bullet, as she releases a single meant to ‘confirm’ their affair. A leaked tape of the ‘Bedroom Commando’ composer and the CEO of Rufftown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman, caused a social media scare with many castigating the two especially with sympathies for Ebony, who was killed in a car crash. Wendy Shay was introduced by Bullet as Ebony’s replacement after the interment of the 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year. In the leaked tape, Bullet was accused of having a sexual affair with Wendy Shay…
A team from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) visited the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Tuesday to inspect facilities with barely a month to the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. Ghana is set to host the 11th edition with Accra and Cape Coast as the host cities. Concerns were raised over the preparedness of Ghana to host the tournament but that was settled last month after the Executive Committee of the Caf backed Ghana as the host. Antoine Griezmann scored twice as France came from behind to claim a second Nations League victory and continue Germany’s abysmal run in 2018. The visitors were eyeing just their second competitive win of the year when Toni Kroos scored from the penalty spot after Presnel Kimpembe had handled. But Griezmann levelled for the world champions with a superb looping header from Lucas Hernandez’s cross. He then scored the winner from the spot after a foul on Blaise Matuidi. Didier Deschamps’ side remain unbeaten in the Nations League and top Group A1 with seven points from their three games. They are…
National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer aspirant Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah has confirmed meeting other aspirants in the lead-up to the party’s December 7 presidential primary. He, however, pointed out that it is not a meeting against former President John Dramani Mahama. Speaking at the launch of his campaign on Tuesday, Dr Spio-Garbrah said the meeting was for the NDC “so that the NDC can restore its principles of probity, integrity and accountability, which many people think we have distanced away from”. Five aspirants including Sylvester Mensah were reported to have met over the rules leading up to the elections. Many considered…

A 100-year-old woman has married her 74-year-old partner after 30 years together. Norah and Malcolm Yates tied the knot at a hotel near their home in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, on Tuesday. The bride, a former school cook, had been twice married and widowed when she met divorced Mr Yates at a dance in the 1980s and they have “been together ever since”. Mr Yates, a former bus driver, popped the question earlier this year. “I only feel about 20”, Mrs Yates said. His bride arrived at the ceremony to Abba’s Dancing Queen and was pushed down the aisle in her wheelchair…
Madagascar has become the first nation to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, following a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea in their Group A qualifier on Tuesday. A Njiva Rakotoharimalala strike in the first half of the game in Antananarivo was enough to send the Bareas to their first major senior tournament. They have two games in hand. The South African nation is likely to be joined by Senegal, who are behind in the group. The feat will come as a joy to the island nation, whose national is the President of the Confederation of African Football (Caf).…
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been charged over comments he made in Portuguese to a television camera after his side’s win over Newcastle. It is claimed Mourinho used “abusive, insulting or improper language” after the 3-2 comeback victory at Old Trafford on 6 October. The Football Association used a lip reader and the 55-year-old’s remarks were interpreted as offensive. Mourinho had been under pressure amid reports he would be sacked. His side had been 2-0 down to winless Newcastle at half-time of the Premier League game, but they scored three goals in the final 20 minutes to turn the…
