Odame Antwi described Busumuru Annan as a peace-loving man who had Ghana at heart. Senator John McCain has been buried at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, after a small private ceremony. A military flypast was performed with the squadron one plane short, to symbolise the dead senator. Mr McCain graduated from the elite Naval Academy in 1958, later serving in Vietnam as a fighter jet pilot. Family and friends were joined by his classmates and the current midshipmen for a service at the school’s chapel. The sale of energy drinks could be banned in England to anybody under 18, amid fears they are damaging children’s health, the prime minister has said. The government has launched a public consultation on its plans to make it illegal to sell the drinks to children. Energy drinks contain high levels of sugar and caffeine and have been linked to obesity and other health issues. Ghana and China have signed eight Co-operation Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding in different sectors of their respective economies. The agreements are aimed at deepening the ties of co-operation and the bonds of friendship that exist between the two countries. Tema LNG Terminal Company Ltd., an entity controlled by Helios Investment Partners, the world’s largest Africa-focused private equity fund, on Sunday signed an agreement with China Harbour Engineering Company, for the construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal to be sited in Tema.
