The family of the late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, has announced the final burial and funeral rites for the deceased statesman. As per the final arrangements, Mr Amissah-Arthur will be laid in state at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Thursday, July 26. A celebrity Brazilian plastic surgeon known as Dr Bumbum has been arrested after four days on the run following the death of one of his patients. Police say Dr Denis Furtado was detained in Rio de Janeiro thanks to an anonymous tip. His patient Lilian Calixto died following injections he gave her to enlarge her buttocks. Dr Furtado faces murder charges. His mother was also arrested and is accused of being an accomplice. US President Donald Trump has invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin to visit the US in the autumn, his press secretary says. Sarah Sanders tweeted that discussions for the visit were already under way. Earlier Mr Trump rejected a proposal by Mr Putin to allow Russia to question US citizens.
