The US has threatened sanctions against the International Criminal Court if it goes ahead with prosecutions against Americans. The court is currently considering prosecuting US servicemen over alleged detainee abuse in Afghanistan. National Security Advisor John Bolton said the US would do everything “to protect our citizens”. The US is among dozens of nations not to have joined the court, founded in 2002. The Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) has finally welcomed the licensure examination for newly trained teachers and other would-be teachers as it kicked off Monday across the various colleges of education in the country. The head of US media giant CBS, Les Moonves, has resigned with immediate effect after allegations of sexual misconduct. CBS had been investigating Mr Moonves since allegations appeared in the New Yorker in July – and fresh accusations from six more women appeared on Sunday. Jack Ma, the executive chairman of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, has said he plans to step down in a year. The news, in a letter sent by Mr Ma to Alibaba customers and shareholders, follows conflicting reports over the weekend on the timing of his exit. US rapper Mac Miller has been found dead at his California home, US media report. Reports say the 26-year-old, who was open about his substance abuse, died from an apparent overdose. Argentina legend Diego Maradona has been appointed manager of Mexican second-tier club Dorados de Sinaloa. It follows the 57-year-old’s appointment as chairman of Belarusian Premier League side Dinamo Brest on a three-year deal in May.
