Japan profited from Colombia’s nightmare start to the World Cup as they secured a victory against 10 men in their Group H opener in Saransk, despite James Rodriguez’s late introduction. Colombia conceded a penalty and had a man sent off inside three minutes, with Carlos Sanchez dismissed for handling Shinji Kagawa’s shot at a goal left exposed by terrible defending. It was the first red card shown at this World Cup, and the second fastest in history at two minutes 56 seconds. Japan should have increased their lead soon after as first Takashi Inui and then Yuya Osako wasted fine…

The International Director of Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches for Africa, Bishop Jerry Sowah, has observed it would take only Godly leaders to transform Ghana into a developed nation where the better future of the next generation of children can be secured. According to him, corruption is fast wreaking havoc on the Ghanaian economy largely making it difficult for the country to develop as a result of the sinful attitude of most church leaders who have found themselves in bed with some corrupt government officials due to monetary gains. “We have leaders who have compromised their values because of what…
Former Member of Parliament for Nanton Constituency Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala has accused the Akufo-Addo-led government of trying to divert attention in the Anas-Nyantakyi saga from the bribery issues involving the president, vice president and other government functionaries. Making this known on TV3’s New Day on Tuesday, Mr Mohammed Murtala…
