Former Power Minister Dr Kwabena Donkor has expressed a strong belief that Parliament has no locus to rescind the power deal government brokered with Africa and Middle East Resources Investment (AMERI) Group in 2015. He said a rescission of the deal could have negative consequences on future investments in Ghana. “I think a rescission will be a disservice to Ghana,” he stressed. The Black Starlets have dazzled many from the Africa U-17 Championship in Gabon to playing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Albeit losing to a resilient Mali side in the final of the African tournament, the Starlets won many admirers over the course of the period. They are full of energy, pacy and above all other things have the ability to entertain. Wastefulness in front of goal has been a running theme but that can be forgiven because it is a fledgling career that needs everything else but unnecessary pillorying. The team unit is good, well drilled and…

Kenya’s ruling party has asked for a contempt of court ruling against opposition chief Raila Odinga, saying Odinga and his supporters are trying to obstruct next week’s re-run of the presidential election.
