The interdicted President of the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA), Charles Offei-Palm, has finally been reinstated, 3news.com can confirm. In a letter intercepted by 3news.com, Mr Offei-Palm is to resume duty “with immediate effect”. The letter jointly signed by the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Samuel Asiamah, and Director of Human Resource Samuel Akotuah Atweri directed that Mr Offei-Palm be paid “all salaries and allowances lost during the termination”. The 22 student leaders of the University of Cape Coast’s Atlantic Hall arrested on Thursday over the recent vandalism on campus have been made to sign bail bonds of GH¢50,000 each. Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been freed from detention, six years after being overthrown. Mr Mubarak left a military hospital in southern Cairo and went to his home in the northern suburb of Heliopolis, his lawyer said. He was ordered freed earlier this month after Egypt’s top appeals court cleared him over the deaths of protesters in the 2011 uprising. A group of well-built men purportedly from the Delta Force, a security force affiliated to the governing New Patriotic Party, allegedly stormed the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council on Friday, March 24 to stop one Mr Adjei, appointed as the regional security coordinator, from performing his duties. The Gambia will set up a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to investigate abuses committed during ex-President Yahya Jammeh’s rule, the justice minister has said. The finances of Mr Jammeh would also be investigated, Abubacarr Tambadou added. People would be encouraged to confess to crimes, and victims would be offered compensation, he said. Herbert Addo is the latest Ghanaian coach to have passed away. Coach Addo passed away on Friday, March 24 at the 37 Military Hospital after a long illness. He had retired from coaching in 2016 after leaving Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies. He has five league titles to his credit, having done that with four different clubs.
