The President’s nominee for the position of Local Government and Rural Development has justified why she sacked MMDCE’s earlier this month although she had not been vetted and sworn in for the position. Hajia Alima Mahama, the ministerial nominee signed off a letter dated January 11, 2017 titled ‘Revocation of Appointments of Metropolitan/Municipal/District Chief Executives’ which ordered all MMDCE’s to vacate their posts and hand over their duties to the Directors of their various offices.
