Ghana National Gas Company Limited has assured that, barring any unforeseen circumstance, it will meet its deadline and start supplying gas to the Karpowership by the 31st of October, 2019. Speaking to journalists in Takoradi, on Saturday, the Head of Corporate Affairs of the gas company, Ernest Owusu Bempah disclosed that 98% of work is currently complete with neutralizing and clearing the pipelines through testing and commissioning being undertaken. “Purging is currently ongoing. The lane from the Peduase Lodge to Ayi Mensah on the Accra-Aburi Road has been closed to vehicular traffic. The Ghana Highway Authority announced the closure Sunday following landslide on Sunday. The Authority says its assessment shows possibility of the rocks falling further on the slope.
