The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers says it will go any length to ensure that there are no longer delays in the implementation of the new national fuel sulphur standards which have been missed three times. Queenmother of of Ekumfi Otuam, Nana Anyinfuah III, has called for the body of Ghana’s late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills to be exhumed and moved to his hometown for a befitting burial. Prof. John Mills died on July 24, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital; just five months to the December 2012 general elections which he was seeking re-election. A child rights activist group has sued the West African Examination Council and two others for denying 201 students the opportunity to write some papers of the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The 201 students from Kambatiag, Gbingbamoni and Guanbiang junior high schools in the Northern Region could not write their English Language and Religious and Moral Education papers due to what is said to be inconsistent information on the exam centres. Twenty graduates have been enrolled onto this year’s Maxim Nyansa training programme. In its second year, the annual training seeks to create career opportunities for young African graduates by equipping them with skills in the field of Information Technology (IT).
