The Food and Drugs Authority has disclosed that since January this year bleaching creams have been banned from entering the country. This revelation was made on Wednesday when the Authority appeared before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament to assist in queries leveled against them by the Auditor General on Public Accounts of Ghana for the year 2015. New research has found that people who reduced their sugar intake had better markers of health in just two weeks. For the scientific review, which was published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, scientists analysed previous research on sugar intake, weight, and health, and found a link between eating a lot of sugar (especially fructose) and an increased risk of weight gain.
