Amidu, has defended the Senior State Attorney who discontinued the trial of eight members of the pro NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, describing her legal advice as “exceptional”. A man who drove a car along three blocks of pavement in New York’s Times Square, killing a teenager and injuring 22 people, said he had “heard voices”, according to law enforcement sources. Farmers in parts of the country have expressed optimism over Ghana winning the fight against the invasion of fall armyworms which have started destroying vast tracks of farmlands. This optimism follows the visit of Agric Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto. Members of a small scale mining group in the country have issued a three-day ultimatum to the government to allow them to return to their pits or face their wrath. “We have given the president three days to allow us work otherwise all die be die,” Frank Osei who is the Chairman of the group, Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners, told journalists Thursday. Tullow Oil says plans are underway to resume drilling next year to boost output at its Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) field once the maritime dispute between Ghana and The Cote d’Ivoire is resolved.
