At the unveiling of the official music video for the preservation campaign, the minister said the campaign will save the depleting forest from galamsey activities. The police in Ashanti Region have arrested nine suspects including a 12-year-old boy in connection with the murder of the late Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama. Ashanti Regional Police PRO, ASP Juliana Obeng, who confirmed the arrest to TV3, said the boy was arrested at Manso Nkwanta, the capital of the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region on Saturday. The suspects also included six males and three females, she said. The rest were arrested at Manso Konuase and Mannso Nkran in the same district. Patients who seek health care at the Sekyere Hemang CHPS compound in the Wassa East District of the Western region are being charged additional one cedi to enable the facility settle its indebtedness to the Electricity Company of Ghana.
