Assembly members in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District of the Central Region have voted to reject Ms Aba Hagan as their District Chief Executive. A total of 25 members voted for her rejection while one vote was counted as rejected by the Electoral Commission. Ghana’s Chamber of Agribusiness Executives says armyworms have invaded farms in the Brong Ahafo Region and parts of the Volta north of the country, threatening the country’s food security. A man who murdered his wife at Akwaboso near Diaso in the Central Region of Ghana, and fled to the Ashanti Region, has been killed by a mob. A 48-year-old farmer who attempted to enter the Central Regional Police headquarters in Cape Coast with a locally-manufactured pistol with three live cartridges has been arrested by the Police. The Ghana Grid Company (GridCo) is set to repair the faulty cables which plunged at least 70% of Ghana into total darkness Wednesday night.
