Ghana’s Kumasi Asante Kotoko have terminated the appointment of its coach, Zdravko Logarusic. Heavy downpour Sunday evening in Cape Coast accompanied by thunderstorm has left the Nduom Sports Stadium at Elmina in devastation. The roof of the newly constructed stadium was ripped off, trapping two vehicles belonging to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and a player of Elmina Sharks, Felix Addo. The Ghana Police Service is to provide “maximum security” at the various courts across the country following last Thursday’s attack on a Circuit Court in Kumasi that led to the escape of 13 accused persons. A group of people belonging to the New Patriotic Party’s vigilante group, Delta Force stormed the court, threatened the judge who had remanded 13 of their members being tried for assault and freed them from justice. The regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Naa Yakubu Andani, has assured authorities and students of St Charles Minor Seminary Senior High School he would intervene to get the school’s burnt dormitory renovated. A Kenyan court has banned random breathalyser tests as a way to catch drivers who are over the limit. The decision was made following a three-year battle by bar owner Kariuki Ruitha, who complained breathalysers were ruining his business. Mr Ruitha argued they violated Kenyans’ constitutional rights to make their own lifestyle decisions – including how much to drink. Kenya has some of the most dangerous roads in the world. Some clients of the Hospital have over the years had cause to complain about service delivery. The Ghana Meteorological Agency is warning of a thunderstorm likely to hit parts of the country Saturday night. A weather warning report signed and issued by Deputy Forecaster, Paul Ackah, mentioned the Eastern, mid Volta and the Ashanti regions as the areas to be affected. It said the thunderstorm, will “move westward later in the night to affect the Brong Ahafo Region”.
