In an attempt to fight the menace of plastic waste and also bridge the housing deficit gap in Ghana, a young man in his thirties has come out with an innovation to build houses using plastic bottles. The new innovation is 33-percent cheaper than the traditional form of building a house and 20 times stronger than concrete, according to the inventor. A member of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party, George Ayisi Boateng, has told critics of the Akufo-Addo government that the GHC1.5 billion budgetary allocation to the presidency will be used judiciously. A freak accident involving a fully loaded articulated truck has left at least 16 vehicles damaged at a popular place called Commando in Accra New Town. The truck was said to have failed breaks on the sloppy street where more than 60 vehicles, mainly private vehicles, were parked and rammed into a number of them.
