Special guests at the meeting were Samira Bawumia who is the wife of the vice president, former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana, Lucy Quist, and CEO of Salt and Light Ministries, Rev Joyce Aryee among others. A Cameroonian student in Ghana who allegedly inserted his finger into the vagina of a four-year-old girl at Kwashieman in Accra has been put before an Accra Circuit Court. Yves Martial Ekobe has pleaded not guilty to indecent assault, and the court presided over by Mrs. Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku remanded him into Police custody to appear again on March 8 for continuation of hearing. The Abeka District Court Wednesday remanded a Lebanese branch manager of Mawarko Restaurant located at Abelenkpe, Jihad Thaabn, for allegedly assaulting a female staff. He is alleged to have dipped the face of one Evelyn Boakye, a caterer at the restaurant, into a blended pepper and locked her up for hours. He had pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault, offensive conduct and causing harm.
