The election of board members for the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has been postponed to March 8 to give members of the organisation enough time to fully participate in the elections. The decision to extend the election date was taken at the meeting of the Election Management Committee of GHAMRO on February 2. The National Planning Committee for Ghana’s 60th anniversary celebrations on Monday denied plagiarizing the anniversary logo, saying that the insignia was an original work commissioned by the Committee. It said the logo, inspired by two adinkra symbols, ‘Mati Masie’ and ‘Tikoro nko agyina’, was designed by one Emmanuel Addo, a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). President of Groupe Ideal, Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani has handed over an ultramodern six-unit classroom block to the authorities of Ada Senior High School in the Greater Accra Region. The structure built by Groupe Ideal was commissioned by former President John Dramani Mahama last year. About 1.6 million eligible students between the ages of 15-17 years across the country, are expected to benefit from government’s free Senior High School (SHS) policy, that is set to begin in September this year.
