Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchway has promised getting Passport Application Centers in the remaining four regions of Ghana “within two years”. The country has Passport Application Centers in six regions including Western and Volta regions. Ghana has been ranked as second in Africa in open defecation with 19 per cent of its population resorting to sanitation practice deemed the riskiest of all. The Minister of Trade and Industry-designate, Alan Kyerematen has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to sign the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), insisting that Ghana would have to impress on Nigeria to also sign the agreement. He noted that the partnership would hugely be disadvantaged if Nigeria, a powerhouse within the sub-region, refuses to sign the EPA.
