A gang of five alleged to have been attacking forest guards at Nkawie in the Atwima Nwabiagya district have been arrested. After a five-month hunt, the suspects were arrested at Nyinahin where the gang leader resides. They are Kofi Owusu alias Juve; Kwabena Obeng also known as TT; Yaw Ofori; Kojo Yeboah aka Nyinahin Tiger; and Yaw Boamah. The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) wants the Akufo-Addo government to revitalize existing factories before rolling out the one-district, one -factory policy. A civil society group in the oil sector has welcomed government’s decision not to use the Heritage Fund to finance its proposed free Senior High School programme.
