Three out of the four persons arrested in connection with the alleged murder of law Professor, Emmanuel Yaw Benneh, have been discharged by the Kaneshie District Court on Wednesday September 30. The three discharged were, Christian Pobee, 32, cleaner; Isaac Botchwey, 41, houseboy; cleaner; and Adams Mensah Mansur, 52, gardener. One person has however been caged. The trial judge, Elleanor Kakra Barnes-Botchway, said charge of murder did not implicate the three. The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) Joseph Boahen Aidoo has justified why they requested USD1.3billion syndicated loan. Parliament approved US$ 1.3 billion loan facility from a consortium of banks and financial institutions to finance the purchase of cocoa for the 2020/21 crop season by the Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod). Royal Dutch Shell has said it plans to cut 7,000 to 9,000 jobs as it responds to challenges including the slump in oil demand amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The oil giant said the cuts would be implemented by 2022 and included 1,500 people who were taking voluntary redundancy. It gave no indication of where the job losses would happen.
