US-based Ghanaian Law Professor Stephen Kweku Asare has said the security of those in charge of the administration of justice must be beefed up following the gruesome murder of Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh of the University of Ghana Law Faculty. Slum dwellers at Opeibea in Accra have been rendered homeless after fire ravaged their makeshift structures on Sunday. Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service intervened to douse the inferno and prevented it from spreading to other buildings near-by. Ghana has lost Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Asante Antwi, the former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church-Ghana. He passed on on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The cause of his death is not yet known. Most Rev Asante Antwi was chair of the Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2015 when the former National Chairman Paul Afoko was suspended.
