Slum dwellers at Opeibea in Accra have been rendered homeless after fire ravaged their makeshift structures on Sunday.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service intervened to douse the inferno and prevented it from spreading to other buildings near-by.
Several properties worth of thousands of Ghana cedis were destroyed.
The Fire Service has, meanwhile, commenced investigation into the cause of the fire.
