Some nine foreigners who crossed into Ghana’s Upper West Region through unapproved routes from Burkina Faso have been arrested and repatriated. The nine include eight (08) Burkinabes and a Nigerien who is a resident in Burkina Faso. The Volta Region Friday recorded its first COVID-19 death at the local Treatment Centre in Ho. The deceased, a 60-year-old woman who returned from Accra two weeks ago, visited the Ho Teaching Hospital with difficulty in breathing, fever for three days and reduced level of consciousness. The Electoral Commission has accused the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), of consistently engaging in the spread of falsehood to court disaffection for the Commission. Authorities in Nigeria say the whereabouts of a team of 15 Chinese medical experts who arrived in the country in early April is not known to the government.
