Two healthcare workers and two other persons have been infected with the deadly novel coronavirus in the Upper East Region, bringing to three the number of health professionals with the disease in the region. Six more new persons have contracted the deadly novel coronavirus in the Ashanti Region bringing the region’s tally to 59. It is the lowest number to be recorded in the region within the last week. A pastor and two church workers have been sent to the Ho Central Prison to serve a four-year jail term each for flouting the ban on social gathering. Two thousand young Ghanaian volunteers are to be deployed across the country, particularly to the remote areas, to assist in the government’s campaign against the deadly novel coronavirus which has affected over a million people globally.
