The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in Tema is closing down tourism facilities in the enclave for not paying the obligatory tourism levy. The nationwide exercise is in line with the Tourism Act, which seeks to promote safety and security in the industry. Two girls have been confirmed dead after a bizarre fire razed their home at Borban, a community in the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti region.  The fire which gutted the four-bedroom house was reported around 7:30 Friday evening, and was doused more than two hours later. Idris Elba has been given citizenship of his father’s native Sierra Leone. The British film star landed in the capital Freetown on Wednesday for his first visit to the country.
